DEVELOPMENT 1: When you are in your first year of dance you're naive and that's good. It keeps you going with raw enthusiasm and energy the "not-knowing" is helpful.

DEVELOPMENT 2: You start feeling a little successful. Maybe you've done some medals, ProAm, Competition or just classes are making more sense. BUT when are in your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year you can see the cracks in yourself and they start to get wider the more you learn!

Most people quit here. They don't know how to get through those 

DEVELOPMENT 3: If you make it through D2 and you've been dancing anywhere from 5-10 years+ you'll notice that you start to have a lot more knowledge, more experienced, and maybe more confidence too but there is often stagnation.

Stillness. Nothing. You're dancing well but you're nowhere near your potential.

Classes make sense, lessons keep developing you, albeit slowwwwwly. You may even get bored. Change is needed and how you approach dancing is a must!

[Now there are way more stages but classically 80-90% of all dancers are somewhere here because the top % of dancers are fundamentally in DanceSport at the highest levels, for the rest of us we are working somewhere here.]
